Roofing calculator
Enter each roof plane and get sheet count, cut length, sheet area, covered area and purlin lines. Send the result to us as a quote request.
What you enter
- For each roof plane: eave length and rafter length in metres.
- Profile: Hi-Ten, Glamour or wall cladding.
- Overhang and wastage allowance.
- Pitch in degrees, if you want the Hi-Ten slope warning.
How it counts
- Sheets per roof plane are counted from eave length and the cover width: Hi-Ten 765 mm, Glamour 970 mm and wall cladding 756 mm, with wastage applied.
- Cut length is rafter length plus overhang. The result shows sheet count, cut length, sheet area and covered area.
- For roof profiles, the result shows purlin lines at 1.2 m spacing. Wall-cladding spacing is confirmed with the quote.
- For Hi-Ten, the calculator warns when the pitch is below 5°.
- Ridge caps, flashings and screws are worked out with your quote.
What it does not do
It estimates quantities from the measurements you enter. Your engineer confirms the structure and the final spacing for your span and wind exposure.
